Reading: Read for 15 minutes per night:
Teach someone how to play “find the noun or find the verb” game with someone in your family. You might need to remind them what a noun and a verb are.
Noun: A person, place or thing.
Verb: An action word - doing, thinking or feeling
Find nouns and verbs in your book.
Maths: Practice your 5x tables this week.

Writer’s Workshop: We will continue looking at the characteristics and habits of writers, through bookmaking and writing in our writers' notebooks, with a focus on parts of speech and grammar to assist with NAPLAN.
Reader’s Workshop: We continue to build our reading stamina and develop positive habits as readers, with a focus on parts of speech to assist with NAPLAN.
Mathematics: This week in Mathematics we are looking at all the strands of Maths in worded and multiple-choice questions in preparation for NAPLAN.
Unit of Inquiry: This week we continue with our Unit of Inquiry ‘How We Organise Ourselves’, with a focus on ‘Systems’, with a focus on local council.
