EAL Student Excursion

On Friday the EAL students went to the city with Mrs Freeman, Mrs Oliver and Elaine.  (Gina 6P)

First, we rode the train and we arrived at Flinders Street Station. I saw the train clocks. I felt excited and happy because it was my first time in the city. (Kelly 6D)

Then we went to Federation Square and Birrarung Marr and we saw the 5 Kulin Nations Shields. They have a long history with aboriginal heritage. (Celine 6D)

We then went to the State Library. Inside it was so big and it was so quiet. We looked around the library, it had many books and lots of history. (Ella 6D)

Last, we went by tram to the NGV (National Gallery Victoria). We touched the water wall and we saw some yellow robot dogs. They were very smart robot dogs. (Andy 6P)

The NVG is a place where people see some artworks. I really liked the drawing of the birds with lots of parrots and cockatoos. One parrot was already asleep, one cockatoo talked to another cockatoo and a kookaburra laughed! (Eva 6D)

We saw two giant statues and lay on the yellow cushions and watched the screen. My favourite artwork was the Flowers in the Box. (Melody 5GP)

We saw some blue cushions that made a huge mountain. (Gina 6P)

We ate our lunch at the NGV and then we went by train back to school. (Yolanda 6P)
