CARITAS-Project Compassion

During Lent each year, Caritas promotes their Project Compassion appeal.

Caritas is the Catholic Church’s international aid and development agency. Caritas works with marginalised communities within Australia and across the world. The aim of Caritas through it’s Project Compassion Appeal is to  improve food security, improve agricultural skills, provide clean water and sanitation and health and educational facilities to those in need. The 2024 theme for Caritas is “For All Future Generations.”

Each classroom/community will receive a Caritas box used to collect donations and posters explaining the work of Caritas.

During Lent we are encouraged to give up something, to help others and to be closer to God. Our school theme is “Be Kind, Be You”. We can do these things by donating to the Caritas Appeal. Any amount will be gratefully received.
