End of Term
Within the blink of an eye here we are - at the end of Term 2. Although this term was 11 weeks long it seems as though we were just talking about the end of Term 1. Maybe it is true - time flies when you're having fun.
I would like to thank all the students and staff for the exceptional teaching and learning that has happened this term. It was wonderful to read some of the Semester 1 student reports which celebrated the achievements that have happened over the past 5 months. There have also been many special events that have happened throughout this term such as the Year 5/6 camp to Anglesea, the school swimming program, Education Week celebrations, excursions to the zoo, guest presenters, and parent teacher conferences just to name a few.
Next term we begin by celebrating NAIDOC Week as soon as we return. The actual dates are from Sunday 6th - Sunday 13th July, which is next week but as we are on holidays we will celebrate when we return to school.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to the many families who made a booking and were able to attend the parent teacher conferences held earlier this week. This was a great opportunity to celebrate your child/ren's achievements so far this year and to discuss their learning goals and areas of focus for the second half of the year.
School Dental Program
Early next term we have the Australian Dental Foundation visiting the school to conduct the 'My School Dentist' program. They will be conducting initial examinations for students who have returned the completed registration forms, providing consent.
If you have not yet returned the registration form and would like your child to participate please return the completed form within the first week of next term, as the visit is in week 2. There are some spare forms at the office if you require a new one.
Have a lovely 2 week break.
