Student Wellbeing

Thank you - Semester 1 SRC Leaders
We would like to say a very big thank you to our Semester 1 SRC Leaders, who have done an outstanding job representing their peers and supporting out school community. Over the semester they’ve helped lead Circle discussions in their classrooms, supported our ANZAC Day liturgy, contributed to Harmony Day celebrations, and played a key role in ensuring student voices were heard across the school.
Our SRC Leaders were acknowledged at the Highlights Assembly and we are so proud of their commitment, leadership and kindness.

Acts of Kindness
This week our students explored the power of Acts of Kindness with the help if the SRC Leaders. The Circle explored how showing kindness through simple, thoughtful choices can help others feel included, supported and seen.
Students across the school shared what kindness looks, sounds and feels like in their everyday lives.
Our Prep students shared that kindness looks like “somebody helping another person… and smiling,” and it feels “happy, thankful and warm.”
In Year 1, students said kindness sounds like “kind words to parents, teachers and friends” and feels like “everyone belongs.”
Year 2 described kindness as “helping people, showing appreciation and forgiveness,” and said it feels “safe, cosy and wonderful.”
A Year 3 class reflected that kindness means “listening, taking care of each other and being bucket fillers.”
Our Year 6 students captured it beautifully: “Kindness is helping people when you don’t have to… it feels like fulfilment.”
We’re so proud of the thoughtful and heartfelt responses from all year levels. Kindness truly is alive in our classrooms and playgrounds!
Positive Behaviour for Learning - PBL
Each week our school follows a PBL Weekly Focus. This week, the focus of our PBL lessons will be showing Respect in Outdoor Spaces.
The weekly PBL focus aims to keep our PBL framework on the agenda across the school and keep up the excitement of Gotcha Tickets, Class Rewards and Whole School Rewards!
We encourage discussions with our students around the expected behaviour for the week and ensure that we are 'catching' the children when following the expected behaviour by giving out the Gotcha Tickets.
Every Child, Everybody, Everyday.
