Holocaust Museum Excursion

As part of our Year 9 History unit on World War II and the Holocaust, students recently visited the Melbourne Holocaust Museum. This powerful and educational excursion provided students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Holocaust through survivor testimonies, historical artefacts, and guided discussions.
Students engaged thoughtfully with the museum’s exhibits, which highlighted the personal stories of those affected by the Holocaust. The visit challenged students to reflect on the impact of prejudice, discrimination and injustice in history and in the world today. Many students found the experience moving and thought-provoking, with several commenting on the importance of remembering the past to create a more compassionate and informed future.
