Principal's update

Hello everyone,
Here is the final newsletter for term two.
I would like to thank everyone for the ongoing support of the school over the semester, wish everyone a restful break and I look forward to seeing everyone after the school holidays.
Term two finishes today at 2.00pm.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me.
Staff changes for term three
Today we say farewell to Sarah who is going on maternity leave. On behalf of the school I would like to thank Sarah for the huge contribution she has made in the short time she has been here and wish her all the best.
I am very pleased to announce that Dana Twycross will be joining the year 4/5 class next term to replace Sarah on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
and that Eve will be continuing with use as our SAKG garden specialist.
Emma will be taking LSL for the first week of term and Julie will be teaching the year 2/3 class.
Volunteers
Thank you to the many volunteers that we have at the school. This includes people helping in the library, Breakfast Club, gardening, listening to children read and more. We welcome more volunteers at the school.
Eve has provided some information on the SAKG page about how you can help in the garden classes - no gardening skills required!
To volunteer at a school you require a working with children check. This can be completed for free online.
Who Gives a Crap fundraiser
If you have not picked up your order yet, boxes are ready to be collected in the foyer of the MP room
Wellbeing
We now have a wellbeing page on the newsletter that I will use to share relevant wellbeing information and resources that we come across that may be useful at home or give greater understanding of some of the language children may come home using from school. I will use the school's website as an archive for the resources for future reference.
2026 enrolments
We are currently running tours of the school and taking enrolments for 2026.
Next year we expect to be under our enrolment capacity and welcome enrolment enquiries from near and far. If you or anyone you know is interested in knowing more about enrolling at Taradale PS, please contact me.
