Prep Learning Reflection

What a busy two weeks we've had in Prep! The students experienced their first ever Twilight School! It's always a special time of the year when we get to open our rooms to you all. We hope you enjoyed getting an insight into our classes, we know the students loved sharing their learning with you all! 

In Literacy this fortnight, we have been revising all of the letters and sounds that we've covered so far this year. We’ve been practicing the sounds of the letters by building, writing and reading words with the sounds. Now, so far this year we've learnt s, a, t, i, m, n, o, p, b, c, g, h, d, e, f, v, k, l, r, u, j, w and z! 

The teachers have also been very busy listening to the students read in a 1-on-1 setting. This gives students a great opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and growth in preparation for their first Semester reports.

This fortnight we've introduced the heart words they, says and she. 

In Numeracy, we've been busy with some end of Semester assessments where the students have shown their counting, adding, subitising skills that they have learnt so far so far this year!
