Open Parachute - Building Resilience

Open Parachute is an online platform that we are using as a school to dig deeper into student well-being. In class students view videos of age appropriate challenges faced by students, and are then provided with proven strategies by clinical psychologist Dr Hayley Watson. This creates proactive positive mental health, and comes from research designed to reduce incidents of a range of mental health challenges, potential conflict and bullying.

Below is a link to a learning module called "Building Resilience". It takes around 30 minutes to complete, with the learning objectives of :

  • practice the skills of soothing emotional reactions in your child and creating family self-soothing strategies

The nurse will come out once we have 90% of forms filled out! Thank you for your cooperation.
