Production Update
Congratulations to Lara J and Evie A, whose entries were selected as the program front cover and promotional poster winners. All entries are currently displayed in the senior school corridor and all students who entered must be commended for their creative and colourful entries.

Thank you to those parents who have offered their time to paint, sew and assist with various aspects. Productions of this scale don’t happen without the help of our school community and we are grateful for the assistance we have received so far.
Please keep an eye on nforma for any future working bee updates.
National Reconciliation Week
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.
Throughout the second half of this term, students across all levels will be completing an indigenous unit of study to complement the ‘All In’ theme. They will look at various indigenous artists, their style of art and how their use of traditional symbols and journey lines tell a story.
Our collaborative school display involved students creating their own ‘I’m In’ badge. Other year levels contributed to this by making traditional yarning sticks. Senior students explored indigenous art through sport and younger year levels are using indigenous illustrators as inspiration for their own artworks.
Forward planning
As I browsed the library recently, I noticed the shortlisted books for this year’s CBCA Book of the Year Awards which has given me some really exciting ideas as we dive into Book Week in term three! Art work will be aligned with this year’s theme ‘Symphony of Stories’. Further details to come!
