Boarding Life

All In
National Reconciliation Week provided an opportunity for our Boarding community to celebrate the importance of connection and belonging. The 2026 theme, All In, felt particularly fitting for a boarding house, where girls from many different backgrounds, regions, cultures and experiences come together to live, learn and grow alongside one another.
As part of our weekly On Wednesdays We... program, boarders gathered to create salt dough ornaments using Indigenous symbols and stamps. The ornaments are currently drying and, over the coming weeks, will be painted and displayed amongst the trees surrounding our Yarning Circle. The girls embraced the activity enthusiastically, enjoying spending time together in a relaxed and collaborative environment.
In many ways, the All In theme reflects the spirit of boarding itself. Each Wednesday, we intentionally gather as a whole house to participate in activities that encourage us to learn from one another and celebrate the many cultures, traditions and experiences represented within our community. It is through these shared experiences that understanding grows and connections deepen.
We were also proud to see our boarders so well represented at the College Reconciliation Week Assembly. Congratulations to Jess, Zahara, Ayla, Pania, Lou and Ivy who participated beautifully and helped lead the College in recognising this important week.
Reconciliation is not a single event or activity. Rather, it is an ongoing commitment to listening, learning and walking together. In this regard, a boarding house is a wonderful place to begin.
