Classroom News/Celebrations

Work samples and highlights from our super talented students this past fortnight

Grade 6 - On 28th May Grade 6 students attended a performance at North Geelong Secondary College called Lights, Camera...Music. It was wonderful to see many students, including some former Rollins students, up on the stage showcasing their talents.

PREP C’S GRASSHEADS!

In Prep we have been exploring the topic Living Things. We recently learnt that plants need air, sunlight, soil and water to grow. Our students were very excited to have their buddies assist them in creating their very own grassheads. On the sunny windowsill of Prep C’s classroom, they are now thriving! Watching them grow has been a lot of fun. Some are almost ready for a ‘haircut’!

ART

Students across the school have been working on ocean themed artworks for a display in the Royal Geelong Show later in the year. Grade 1 is creating recycled materials coral reefs and Grade 2 is painting watercolour patterns to cut up and create collage coral reefs. Earlier this term Grade 3 / 4 students created these wonderful Romero Britto inspired cats and dogs.

The Art Room is looking for donations of old newspapers for upcoming projects and activities. If you have any spare newspapers at home, we would greatly appreciate them being sent in with your child. There will be a collection tub in the front office for donations.

Thank you for your support!
