Parents' and Friends Association

PFA AGM

The PFA held its AGM last week and reviewed the year concluding. It has been a great success, despite the Family Fun Day being unable to go ahead. It looks like we have over $40,000 in the bank account, some of which will pay for the shade sail over the Junior sandpit, and the rest is being stored to contribute towards the upgrade of the Senior Adventure Playground.

In addition to this, nominations for the roles of the Association occurred, with most filled. After a number of years leading the PFA, Michelle Don Paul has decided to step back from President, but will help the new President/s settle in in 2026 as Vice President. On behalf of the school community, I warmly thank Michelle for her dedication and commitment to the role and the HUGE effort she has demonstrated over the past five years. I know she is proud of the funds which have been raised for the school, and also the building up of the community again after COVID.

The role of President remains vacant, so I hope you saw the letter I shared with the community yesterday inviting either a single President or joint Presidents to nominate. It needs to be a quick turnaround, with nominations closing next Wednesday 10 December. Please send your nominations through to my email. If there is more than one nomination, then the PFA Committee will vote on the new President/s.

Please find attached some documents for your information regarding the role. If you have any questions, please speak with Michelle Don Paul or myself. Thank you.

Zooper Dooper Tuesdays

We are in need of volunteers to assist with selling Zooper Doopers to the children during second break (1:40pm - 2:30pm (we usually finish earlier)). Please click here to sign up, note all volunteers must have a current working with children check (WWCC).

PFA Colour Run

The Colour Run was a fabulous success - thanks to a sunny day and the excitement this day brings! The students had a ball getting wet and changing colour thanks to a band of happy parents who enjoyed the squirting of the cornflour and water! Special thanks to Michelle Don Paul and Gary Bendall for the set up and pack up. It looks like we raised a total of approximately $7,700.

What a fantastic amount to end the fundraising for this year! Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed.
