Transition Students on Farm
During Monday and Tuesday, we had our transition Year 10 and 11 students on the Farm. It was not hard to spot the potential and excitement within these groups. I look forward to seeing them all back in Term 1 next year.

What's Been Happening on the Farm
We are excited to have our new cattle crush for the Beef section. Over the school holidays, we will replace the old cattle crushes in both the dairy and beef areas with new equipment.

We are also very grateful for the late rain this week. Our paddocks are looking good, with plenty of feed in front of us, which is ideal heading into summer. Finishing with a great hay season has also provided a significant sense of relief.
Our chook sales have been going well, with approximately 110 sold so far. On Tuesday, we received 100 new chooks that will begin laying eggs at the end of January. Necia Watson and some Transition students did a great job preparing the chook pens for the new arrivals.

On Monday and Wednesday, Mia Davis and John Italiano had the vet on-site to assist with preg-testing in the Beef section.

At the Sheep section, our Certificate III Advanced Wool Handling students have been busy refining their shearing, wool handling, and related skills with Rebecca Thompson and Owen Snook from Narrogin TAFE.
