CHAPLAIN CHAT

Christmas Gift Drive

With Christmas carols playing through the speakers, 15 Year 10 students volunteered to join me this week in sorting and wrapping gifts kindly donated by staff and families. These gifts will be personally delivered on Monday, with the help of students, to three local primary schools. A big well done to all involved, and thank you for your generous contributions.

Afternoon Swims

Over the last few weeks, a group of 10 boys have enjoyed visiting the local pool after school. The group has had fun swimming laps, often ending with some friendly competitions. We’ve also floated the idea of a trip to the local golf course before the end of term. Well done to this fantastic group of students for respecting the conditions of these outings.

Farewell Year 11s

Last week, we said goodbye to most of the Year 11 students for the year. I’ve spoken to many of them throughout the year about their progress, future plans, and goals for next year. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but they’ve made it through. Friday afternoon offered a chance to come together with icy poles, treats, and music—an excellent time for reflection and to wish them a safe and well-deserved break.

Transition Week

It was wonderful to meet so many new faces over the three days. I’m very much looking forward to getting to know each student next year. Some of our current students stood out and were recognised with a small treat for the way they welcomed families and interacted with the new students. Well done!
