YEAR 8
Building Strong Connections

Head of Year 8
I want to acknowledge and congratulate the Year 8 students who were recognised at both the Academic Presentation Evening and our Sports Awards in Week 7ek. These achievements reflect not only their hard work and commitment, but also the positive way they contribute to our school community. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the example they set for their peers.
On Tuesday, our Year 8 students will come together for their Community Day. We will begin with a celebration lesson during Period 1 before departing by bus at 9:45 am for Sugarworld Adventure Park. Students will return to the College by 2:45 pm, ready for the regular 3:15 pm dismissal.
Students are required to:
Wear their House shirt with sports shorts and shoes
Bring the following items:
Please note that the school’s mobile phone policy will remain in effect throughout the day. We look forward to a great day together.
As we come to the end of the year, I want to take a moment to thank our Year 8 cohort for a memorable and rewarding year. It has been a privilege to walk alongside them as their Head of Year and to see the way they have grown both individually and as a group. I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know them, celebrating their successes, and supporting them through the challenges that come with this stage of schooling.
I wish all students and their families a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break. I hope everyone takes the time to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. Thank you for a wonderful year, and I look forward to seeing them continue to thrive as they move into Year 9.
