Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today’s pupil-free day was a valuable opportunity for our teaching staff to dedicate time to writing end of year student reports. These reports reflect your child’s progress and development and are a testament to the hard work and commitment of both staff and students throughout the year.

As we enter the final three weeks of the school year, it’s more important than ever that students continue attending school every day. Although the year is drawing to a close, learning remains rich, purposeful, and active right up to the final bell. Every minute in the classroom counts, and maintaining strong attendance ensures students continue to build on their skills, stay connected with their peers, and finish the year with confidence.

Keeping Routines ‘Normal’ for as Long as Possible

While the end of the school year naturally brings excitement, celebrations, and change, we encourage families to help maintain daily routines. Predictability and rhythm help students feel secure, engaged, and ready for learning. By treating each day as a regular school day, students remain settled and focused, allowing teachers to continue delivering meaningful learning experiences right to the end.

2025 NAPLAN Data Coming Soon

We are also proud to share that our 2025 NAPLAN data will be released to the public on the My School website soon. Each year, our results continue to reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the vital partnership we maintain with our families. We look forward to sharing and celebrating these results with you once they are officially published.

Final Assembly – Friday 19 December

Our Final Assembly is on Friday, 19 December. This special event will include the announcement and presentation of our 2026 School Captains, along with a range of other awards acknowledging excellence, growth, leadership, and contribution across the school.

This assembly is always a highlight of the year—an opportunity to celebrate our students’ achievements and reflect on the collective efforts that make our school such a strong and vibrant community.

Road safety around the school

Victoria Police are working with school communities to ensure school drop-off and pick-up are safe for all members of the community. You will see Police Officers patrolling around the school at these critical times of the day, both on foot and in patrol cars, to monitor the situation. Again, we acknowledge there are a lot of cars around the school, trying to park and to pick up/drop off. We implore all members of our Tarneit Rise family to display kindness and consideration towards each other, and to walk to and from school if possible.

We look forward to seeing all families at our Community Bush Dance next Tuesday, 2nd December,  between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm, on the Soccer pitch. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Access will be through the Soccer pitch gate. Please bring your dancing shoes, a picnic basket & rug, and good humour for what promises to be a fun and engaging night for everyone. We thank Big Childcare for sponsoring this event.

With just a few weeks to go, thank you for your continued support in keeping learning strong, routines steady, and attendance high. Together, we can ensure a positive and successful finish to the school year for every student.
