Smile Squad
Smile Squad six-month fluoride varnish visit
The Each Smile Squad team are heading back to our school on Monday 1st June to complete six-monthly fluoride varnish applications for those students who have provided consent. Fluoride varnish applications help make sure students have the best chance of preventing tooth decay, so we’re excited Smile Squad are coming back.
Consent for this fluoride varnish application was provided when students’ initial consent forms were returned. However, if anyone has changed their mind and do not wish to receive a fluoride varnish application, they can contact Each directly to let them know. Please contact the Smile Squad team via:

Camps,Sport,Excursion Fund
For those families who have a current Health Care Card in the name of a parent/guardian, you are entitled to $400 from the Camps, Sports, Excursions Fund. If you have received this through MPS previously and your details are unchanged you do not have to submit a new form.
For those who are new to MPS or have changed details since last year, please fill out the attached form and return to the school office along with a copy of your Health Care Card as soon as possible. Hard copy forms are available at the office also. These must be submitted to the office by 26th June 2026.
You can check the Finacial Assistance document below to see if you are eligibil for this. Or go to CSEF Eligibility for more information.
Agreements and Consent
Review and acknowledgement by families of our Acceptable Use Agreement for Digital Technologies, and consent for a number of items is generally collected at the commencement of each academic year. However, moving forward as per Dept guidelines, permission now only needs to be given at the beginning of the students enrolment and will last until they leave the school.
If you did not complete this last year that means we currently do not have a record of consent/non consent provided by you. Please complete by Tuesday 10th February.
If you wish to change your permission at any stage you can email the school and it can be changed.
These permissions are found in the Course Confirmation menu, select 2026 Consent and Agreements. This page will give a description of each Permission/Agreement. At the bottom of the screen select ‘NEXT’, this will then give you the 4 Permission/Agreements, answer ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ to each of these then ‘PROCEED’
Please contact the office if you have trouble completing the permissions.

House Cross Country
INTER HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY
On Wednesday May 6th, the sun was shining in the morning and there was great excitement and buzz surrounding the House Cross Country.
The 11, 12 and 13-year-olds ran approximately 3 km, the 8, 9 and 10-year-olds approximately 2 km, and the 5, 6 and 7-year-olds approximately 1 km.
It was fantastic to see such positive attitudes and commitment to running and competing at each student’s personal best level. Many students, staff and parents dressed in their house colours, and a big thank you goes to all Marlborough staff who ran or walked with students throughout the event. It was also wonderful to see our older students supporting younger students by walking and running alongside them to ensure they safely completed the course.
A massive thank you must go to the entire Marlborough community — parents, grandparents, guardians and staff — who generously gave up their time to act as marshals, supporters along the course and helpers at the finish line, especially in such busy conditions. The Zooper Doopers were a huge hit, and thank you to Kirsty and Erin V for stepping in to help. We could not have run such a successful event without everyone’s support.
Special thanks to the amazing Jane Barnes for her organisational assistance, Natalie for First Aid support, and all our photographers. Behind the scenes, Christina did a fantastic job, while Jane and Pippa were invaluable at the results table. Thank you also to Erin V, Kirsty B, Clare A, Sharadhi M, Diane E, Robert E, Fenil P, Simone B, Gloria A, Janet K, , Angel and anyone else I may have accidentally missed. Everyone did a sterling job.
A big shout out to Nadja for her ongoing support and positivity in helping make the Cross Country such a successful event. As someone new to our school, thank you for your support in allowing me to organise the Cross Country, and for your encouragement and enthusiasm throughout the entire event.
A huge congratulations to all competitors 😊
Now for the results — every competitor counted:
