The Preps have been working so hard to read and write three-letter words. We have played many games of memory and bingo! We are so proud of all that we have achieved this term!

Year 1
A recent trip to the Warrnambool Botanical Gardens was one of the highlights for our Year 1 students this term. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed exploring the gardens as part of our Integrated Studies Unit, focusing on features in our environment. The children enjoyed a picnic lunch under the big tree and spent some time collecting pieces of nature in preparation for their nature artwork creations. A fun way to finish off the week was having the children create their amazing nature pictures which are now proudly displayed in the Year 1 classroom.

Year 3
Going to the library is a highlight of our week in Year 3. We are all avid readers and love the time to share books with each other. We are enjoying reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl this term together, and we have our own book boxes that are regularly filled with books we love. Year 3 also enjoyed practising our division and multiplication skills using Smarties last week!

Year 5
Year 5 have had a lot of fun in their learning lately. They have been continuing our solids, liquids and gases unit in Science, and experimented with turning a solid and liquid into a gas. Maths has involved hands-on learning with games and creating, while our humanities unit about human and physical geography has continued to spark a lot of interest. As the term winds to an end, there is still a lot of fun and learning in store including a visit from Craig Hawkins from Creation Science.

The Year 6 students were learning how to make Sushi rolls this week in Food Tech class. They worked together with their cooking partner to prepare the Sushi rice, cut up all the ingredients and put together the Sushi rolls.
