POLDING RUGBY TRIALS

Last weekend Thomas McDougall travelled to Forbes to compete with the Armidale Diocesan Rugby squad at the Polding Trials. The team played their heart out and showed great sportsmanship.

BASKETBALL

Last Thursday the St Nichs Devils and the St Nichs Thunder played in their basketball grand final. Both teams were awarded runners-up. Outstanding effort and sportsmanship boys.

Tamworth Basketball is in the process of changing over to Basketball Connect for registrations for Semester 2. As soon as this is up and running teams will be nominated.

TOUCH FOOTBALL

Well done to the St Nichs Greenants who were runners-up in the Touch Football grand final on Monday.

TONI PALMER MEMORIAL SHIELD

Today we had some Year 3-6 children travelling to Inverell to compete at the Toni Palmer Memorial Shield. Toni was a teacher at Holy Trinity in Inverell who was heavily involved in Diocesan sport and who had a passion for rugby league. She sadly lost a battle with cancer in 2021.

The Open Division played 4 games. Lost 2, Won 1 and Drew 1.

And the Junior Team was undefeated!! A fantastic result!

Well done to all the players who competed today and thank you to the parents and Mrs Pearce and Mr Clery for travelling to Inverell so that these students were able to have this opportunity.
