Celebrating Learning

For the last week we have been trying really hard with our drawings. We have been learning about doing a background, using the whole page and adding detail. The results are stunning, it has been very satisfying for them and me to see such immediate improvement and as a result satisfaction in their finished work. 

The main lesson at the moment is on the land where we live. We have heard Indigenous creation stories of the moon and sun. We have learnt all about the Birrarung (Yarra) and Naarm, Melbourne. 

We have also enjoyed swimming this week, the kids were fantastic! Lantern making has also been lots of fun, in preparation for the winter festival.
