Grandparents and Special Friends Photo Request

We are celebrating Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 26 July. 

On this date the Catholic Church honours St Ann and St Joachim who are the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus. 

Please inform the grandparents and special friends in your family of this special event. 

An invitation will be sent to school families next week with details of the activities being held at school.

A prayer liturgy will take place in the Church to honour St Ann, St Joachim, our grandparents and special friends. Part of the prayer liturgy will include a Google Slide presentation using photos of our students with their grandparents and special friends. 

If you feel comfortable with sharing a photo, please email them to Ray Hickey  rhickey@smashburton.catholic.edu.au  

Thank you to the families who have already emailed their photos.  You are most welcome to email photos during the school holidays. The closing date for the photos is Friday 19 July, this allows enough time for the Year Six Media and Communications Leaders to create the Google Slide presentation for the prayer liturgy.

Let us pray that the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, bestows the Lord's strength to those who receive it and to their loved ones, and that it may become for everyone an ever more visible sign of compassion and hope. Amen
