Wear it Purple
We acknowledged Wear it Purple Day this week, instigated by Pip and the Student Support team. Purple represents peace, strength and empowerment, as well as unity and the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Wearing purple this week brings awareness to both the Bullying No Way campaign and LGBTQIA+ youth and the issues they face.
Touches of purple were worn by students and staff to symbolise Peace, Kindness, Empowerment and Unity.
Bullying is never ok - we all bring talents, gifts and strengths that contribute to making our community a better place.
Wet Weather Days
It was a big week on many levels, made more difficult with wet weather which meant many students didn't burn off their excess energy outside like they usually would. These students played 'spoons' in the library at lunch. They laughed a lot, found a positive solution to overcome the rain, and were able to hang out with their friends from other year levels too.
Cooking - Bakers Shop
As they say, a picture is worth 1000 words. You can see how yummy these pizzas look and the excellent baking skills these students have displayed!
