Exciting International Visitors at Murrumbeena Primary!

We were thrilled to welcome nine visiting teachers from South Korea to Murrumbeena Primary School last week!

These educators travelled all the way to Melbourne to explore and gain insight into our International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme in action. During their visit, they toured our facilities and classrooms, observed our engaging inquiry-based learning—including the impressive Year 5 unit share—and spoke with staff and students about what makes Murrumbeena such a vibrant and inclusive learning community.

This visit was a fantastic opportunity to share our commitment to global-mindedness and educational innovation, while also building meaningful international connections.

A special thank you to Buddy (Year 5) for delivering the Acknowledgement of Country, Lauren, Dhyey, and Ella (Year 6) for their warm welcoming address, and Justin (Year 4), one of our Korean-background students, who proudly spoke about the cultural diversity at Murrumbeena Primary School.

Being selected as one of only three schools visited in Melbourne is a wonderful recognition of the strong reputation and quality of our IB PYP programme here at Murrumbeena.

Well done to everyone involved in making this visit such a success!
