Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,

I hope you have had an enjoyable week, despite the chilly weather! 

Staff Professional Learning

Over the past week we've had staff participate in professional learning with Carmel Small where we've been building our understanding of Cognitive Load Theory and how we can support students in accessing and scaffolding their learning without becoming overwhelmed or overloaded.

Foundation 2026 Transition Sessions

Thank you to Mrs. Lee-Anne Veteha who has started our Foundation 2026 student transition sessions. Our lovely kinder kids are enjoying weekly sessions with Mrs. Veteha where they are getting to know our school and prepare for Foundation in 2026.

Welcome new staff

This term we have welcome Mr. Brenton Borges who has been appointed our Learning Specialist in Mathematics. Brenton will be providing all classrooms teachers with coaching in their Mathematics practice. We have also welcomed Mr. Patrick Fairhead who has taken on P.E. Please say hi and introduce yourself if you see them in the yard!

Library Upgrade

This term we are working tirelessly to upgrade our library space for our students. We have removed the large compactus storage units and begun to install new permenant library shelving. This is definitely a large project as we move and reshelve our library books. During this time the library is closed to students. We hope to have the work finalised in the next few weeks and will welcome students into the new space as soon as possible.
