Specialist Feature News -  Science Week

Selamat Siang semuanya,

This week we are celebrating Nation Science Week. This is Australia's annual celebration of science and technology. It's a nationwide event that aims to inspire curiosity, promote learning, and highlight the vital role of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in shaping Australia's future.

As a special treat, Foundation to Year Six students have visited the Wildlife Xposure incursion and taken part in Science activities across their curriculum areas over the week.

At the incursion, students met a host of animals, including Alba the barn owl, Stumpy the shingleback lizard, Frilly the frill-neck lizard, Booger the long neck turtle, Jasper the python and Xena the baby crocodile. What an engaging and incredible experience!

Here are some pics from some of the grades:

INDONESIAN DAY

Just a reminder that we are celebrating Indonesian Day on Monday 18th September. Students can wear red and white (Indonesian flag colours) or Indonesian-inspired outfits to enjoy a day filled with Indonesian themed activities!

Students will also have a special incursion visit from Sanggar Lestari Indonesian Dance Group during the day and get to enjoy an Indonesian dance performance at Assembly, as well as an Indonesian National costume parade.

WOAH! How lucky are we at MPRPS?!

Happy Science Week & we can’t wait to celebrate again next week!

Terima kasih
