Principal's Report

Dear CPS community,
As we move towards the second half of Term 3, our students continue to engage in many exciting opportunities across the school. This week we have celebrated Science Week and next week we celebrate Book Week with our parade on Friday 22nd August. We look forward to seeing our students and staff dressed as their favourite book character displaying amazing creativity in their costumes showcasing a great range of children’s books. Prizes will be awarded for most creative costume!
In specialists’ subjects, we have a number of students going on to represent CPS at District Athletics on Wednesday 20th August wishing them well with their individual events at this next level of competition. Mr Warren has been working with a small group of Grade 6 students in STEM planning, designing and producing a Print-A-Car with our school 3D printer. We are excited to announce they will be entering and competing against other schools in a competition on Friday 22 August. We wish them well!
The wider involvement of the community is critical to our success our school. Our Community Events and Fundraising Committee have been planning and looking at ways we can bring people together strengthening stronger connectedness for our whole school community. We are very excited to announce the confirmed date for our CPS Market Night Thursday 18th September 3.30pm – 7pm. Our CPS Market Night will have a raffle to be won offering 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes, tickets $2.00 each. There will be a variety of stalls selling items from clothing, household items, perfume, handmade goods, food trucks, face painting and much more.
Thank you to our families and stall holders for their donations of goods for our raffle. All money raised will go towards landscaping around our school, including the playground areas. Information will be posted out on Compass about how to purchase tickets for the Market Night raffle.
I am happy to announce our new playground is nearly at completion and will be accessible for students to enjoy by mid next week. Students are all super excited to check out our new play area. To ensure all students have an opportunity to enjoy the space safely, we will have a timetable allocated for each grade level during morning and lunch play times.

2026 Student Numbers
It's that time of year when the leadership team begin working through 2026 planning, class structures and recruitment processes.
As we begin the planning process for 2026, we would appreciate parents notifying the school if your child/ren will not be returning to Craigieburn Primary School in 2026, as soon as possible.
