Music 

Year 3 and 4

This term Year Three and Four students will be undertaking a Piano and ensemble unit in Music Innovation. They will be working on enhancing and perfecting their technical skills and challenging themselves to learn more difficult songs. Students will also be continuing to develop their ensemble skills by playing in both small and large groups. This includes an ensemble where everyone is playing the melody or, an ensemble where some are playing the melody, and some are playing the harmony. Students will be given the opportunity later in the term to add different instruments such as drums, guitar, flute and violin to this ensemble transferring their knowledge of beat and their listening skills. By continuing to develop these ensemble skills students will be more prepared to perform in groups such as choirs, orchestras and bands in the future.
