Grade 5/6

Welcome Back

The grade 5/6 cohort have settled back in nicely our first week back.  We've been creating persuasive advertisments for visiting Cuba, and learning about the great lakes of the world in Reading.  We have an exciting term of learning ahead and are looking forward to seeing the amazing work our our talented and creaive students produce! 

NAIDOC

This week, as a mini inquiry to celebrate NAIDOC, the grade 5/6 students have been learning about the significance of songlines in Indigenous culture.  We also researched and reported on a number of different inspiring First Nation trailblazers, people such as Eddie Mabo, and YunupinguDrr. Lowitja O'Donoghue anDrr. Alice Rigney.
