Foundation Incursion

Our Foundation students became curious scientists when they participated in an interactive and hands-on science workshop to explore the five senses. The workshop aimed to enhance students' comprehension of the five senses, a line of inquiry in this term's central idea - We learn about our world by observing and investigating.
Here are some things we learnt from Sharyn, the scientist:
Light has all the colours of the rainbow!
We found out that sound is air vibrations!
Our skin gives us the sense of touch.
Smells are classified into ten basic types. Our sense of taste relies on our sense of smell to give us flavours. How some things taste can be different for everyone.

Our students were curious inquirers, risk-takers and phenomenal communicators as they engaged in various hands-on experiments. Not to mention how proud we were of the way they demonstrated our school values to our visiting guests. Well done, Preps!
Kindest regards
The Foundation students and teachers.
