Sports Update

Catholic Athletics - Wednesday August 21

Good luck to all students participating in the Catholic Athletics Championships next Wednesday. Thank you to all families who have accepted the request on SIMON.

Students will need to meet near the tables at 8.55am as the bus will be leaving at 9am sharp.

Jump rope for Heart

Jump Rope for Heart kicks off this term on Monday August 19, 2024.

Jump Rope for Heart is the Heart Foundation’s primary school skipping challenge that helps kids move more, have fun, and raise funds for life-saving research and programs.

Register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link below to get started. www.jumprope.org.au/parents

Students will be skipping in PE lessons and during breaks. During this time you can share their online fundraising page with family and friends to help raise money for this great cause.

Students will bring a key ring home this week with a QR code on it to sign up.

School Mountain Bike Series

Hugh and Nina have had another fabulous ride at the You Yang’s in Geelong.

Nina rode 7km and worked really hard to finish 1st and Hugh jumped a few places up to 6th and rode a massive 15km. Some impressive riding from both students.

Round 4 will be held in Castlemaine on September 7 and Round 5 in Bendigo September 8.

St Joseph's Swimming Program

All students will attend a swimming program during Week 8 (September 2 - 6) at Paul Sadler. More details will be available on SIMON in the coming week.

Sporting Stars

Thank you to students and parents who excitedly share their sporting stories with us. We have some students working really hard outside school on many different sports and receiving some excellent awards. Keep sending them in to Mrs Brown at abrown@sjquarryhill.catholic.edu.au
