Principal's Update
St Joseph's is a child-safe school.
We promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.
The 'Bullying No Way' National Day of Action has become a National Week of Action! Everyone Belongs is this year’s theme and this week the students have participated in a number of school-based activities to highlight the need to support one another and to act with care and kindness.
The Paris Olympic Games have ended with Australia recording its best-ever medal tally. We couldn't have an Olympics without the athletes and their remarkable feats to tie it all together, but it's much bigger than just what happens on the field of play. The last fortnight has allowed us to explicitly teach students the value of inclusion, resilience and compassion. The games are so much more than winning, as we saw from some incredible individual and team performances. Our students also had the opportunity to 'have-a-go' at modified Olympic Events every day during the games thanks to Aimie Brown and our staff.
Next Wed 21 & Thurs 22 August (2.30pm-6pm), families are invited to come along and view our St Joseph's Art Exhibition in the ‘Arts Centre’. The exhibition will be set up as a self-guided walk-through, showcasing the artistic talents of our students - and some staff. Keep your eye out for the ‘Silent Auction’ items on display.
Adding to the busyness of school I know the children and I suspect a few teachers are looking forward to the Book Week Parade next Monday August 19 @ 9.15am in the school hall. This years theme is is 'Reading is Magic'. I am sure to see many outfits along this line as well as some other exciting characters.
Kind Regards,
Peter Teggelove, Principal
July statements for school fees & levies have been emailed to families. Please check your statement and contact the office if you have any questions.
It is expected that all school fees and levies are finalised by the start of December.
The school provides a variety of options for payment of school fees and levies - in full at the start of the school year / part payment at the start of each school term / by direct debit – weekly, fortnightly, or monthly / by direct payment into the school bank account or by regular payments at the school office by cash or EFTPOS. You can even pay over the phone if you wish.
It is important that payment of school fees and levies are honoured and prompt payment is much appreciated. However, if you are experiencing difficulty meeting your obligation for payment, please contact the school to arrange a time to discuss this with the Principal, Mr Peter Teggelove.
