LITFEST 2024 - Reading Cafe

Dearest Gentle Reader,

We are thrilled to invite you to our much-anticipated LITFEST Literature Festival, a celebration of reading, writing, and the amazing work our students have been completing in their classes. The Reading Café will take place on August 22nd, kicking off promptly at 9:00am and wrapping up at 9:45am.

Parents and caregivers can enjoy a relaxed start to the day with complimentary coffee and snacks while creating amazing memories with their children. Core memories were created last year with students spending time with the special people in their lives, building a love of reading and showing off the impressive work they've been producing in their writing classes.

Hey Kids! Spelling is F-U-N!

A highlight of the festival is the annual Albanvale Spelling Bee!

We will crown two champions: one from the F-2 and another from the 3-6 classes. This competition is a fantastic way for students to showcase their spelling skills and the hard work they have put in. This exciting event is up there with the 100m sprint, making this an event you won't want to miss. 

In addition to the spelling bee, our young leaders will be performing read-aloud sessions of beloved classics.  These readings are a special treat for the entire school community, providing an opportunity for everyone to enjoy timeless stories together.

We are looking forward to seeing as many of our parent community there and sharing this special occasion with their children. The LITFEST  Literature Festival is a unique event that highlights the importance of literacy and community in our school.
