Principal's Report

Dear Families,
Heather is currently on two week's Long Service Leave and she is having a well earned rest in Port Douglas. I am replacing her during this time, with Maria Serra and Stacey Wilkinson replacing me in the classroom.
Our Whole School Excursion to Echuca was a wonderful day out. We visited Twisted Science, had a tour of the Port of Echuca as well as a paddlesteamer ride along the Murray River. We were very impressed with the behaviour of our kids and proud to have them represent our school.
DIVISION ATHLETICS
Congratulations to the students who competed in the Division Athletics in Shepparton, on Monday. You did yourselves and us proud! Declan Doller won the 11 years high jump, so he will compete in the Regional Competition in Albury on Friday.
Other results were:
Jake placing 3rd and Lily placing 4th in the 200m, Lily also placed 4th in the 100m, Amelia placed 4th and Olivia placed 7th in the 800m as well as Harry and Arianna competing in the high jump. Well done to you all!

Students always enjoy the chance to browse and choose their own books. The last day will be next Monday. Eftpos facilities will be available.

This year's theme for concert is 70's disco. There has been much excitement, as teachers begin preparing the grades for their acts. The concert will be held at The Junction Hotel in Toolamba on Thursday 27th November. There will be a note sent home prior to the concert with details about costumes.
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE DAY & CURRICULUM DAY
Please note the following important dates:
- Monday 3rd November – Professional Practice Day (no school for students)
- Tuesday 4th November – Melbourne Cup Public Holiday
- Monday 1st December – Curriculum Day for report writing (no school for students)
BUS TRAVEL
Just a reminder that if students are travelling on a bus and they normally don't or they are travelling on a different bus to normal, we require a note, phonecall or a XUNO message so that we can inform the bus drivers about the different travellers on their bus service.
Enjoy the rest of the week, regards, Filippa
