This week, our students will be going around selling Remembrance Day badges in honour of our veterans. Every badge sold helps raise important funds for our local RSL, supporting those who have served our nation with courage and dedication. Badges can also be purchased at the front office for those who wish to show their support.

Defence Club has been full of creativity and connection this term! Students have enjoyed Halloween mask-making, wooden crafts, icy-poles in the sunshine, and fun scavenger hunts around the school, all while learning about teamwork and resilience. A highlight was a visit from two special guests who gave a hands-on lesson in bagpipes and drumming, just like an Army band — an exciting and unique experience for everyone!

We are also proud to share that our Poppy Project has now been completed. The final display can be viewed in the school’s admin office, showcasing the incredible effort and community spirit that went into this year’s project.

A big thank you to our wonderful student helpers who have been assisting with serving and packing up each week. As we head toward Remembrance Day, students are proudly selling badges to raise funds for the RSL and continue learning about remembrance, respect, and service.

Happy birthday to the following students in October; Bailey, Lilly, Matilda and Kyaana.
At Seymour College, all defence students who celebrate a birthday each month are recognised:
If you’re celebrating your birthday this month, please be sure to come and see me either at Defence Club or in my office at the Wellbeing Centre to collect your voucher.
We hope you all have a wonderful birthday!
