DEPUTY PRINCIPAL STUDENTS

YEAR 7 VICTOR HARBOR: 8 – 12 SEPTEMBER
Our recent Year 7 camp to Victor Harbor was a fantastic experience for everyone involved. Set by the beautiful coastline, students enjoyed a range of exciting activities, from boat rides and team challenges to exploring the local area and spending time with friends. The camp provided a wonderful opportunity for students to build new friendships, strengthen connections, and develop independence in a fun and supportive environment. It was a memorable few days filled with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of seaside adventures.
YEAR 9 CENTRAL AUSTRALIA: 11 – 19 SEPTEMBER
Approximately 100 of our Year 9 students recently spent nine incredible days exploring the heart of Central Australia and experiencing the unique beauty and rich culture of our amazing country. Throughout the journey, students visited iconic landmarks such as Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon. They learned about the land’s deep Indigenous history and breathtaking natural landscapes. The trip offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with Australia’s heritage, build resilience through shared experiences, and create lasting memories with classmates and teachers alike.
HOUSE AND SPECIALIST CAPTAINS FOR 2026 SPEECHES AND INTERVIEWS
Many outstanding future leaders of the college presented their speeches and were interviewed for the 2026 House and Specialist Captain positions recently, showcasing impressive confidence, enthusiasm, and leadership qualities. Each candidate spoke enthusiastically about their vision and commitment to representing their peers, making it a challenging task to decide on the final selections.
With so many outstanding applicants, the process of finalising the successful captains is still underway. We commend all students who put themselves forward for their courage and the excellent way they represented themselves.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND PRODUCTION
This year’s school production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. was a wonderful showcase of the many talented students within our college community. From the vibrant costumes to the impressive acting, singing, and dancing, every student involved brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the stage. Their dedication throughout rehearsals truly paid off, resulting in a captivating and entertaining performance that delighted audiences. It was inspiring to see the students’ confidence, teamwork, and artistic talents shine so brightly, reminding us all of the creativity and spirit that make our school community so special.
COLLEGE ASSEMBLY & YEAR 12 LITURGY
Our Term 4 Assembly was held on Thursday 16 October in the Sacred Heart Church. It was followed with the Year 12 Liturgy, a special event that celebrated the many wonderful achievements and moments across our college community.
The assembly highlighted a range of student successes, both in and out of the classroom, showcasing the talent, effort, and spirit that make our school such a vibrant place to learn and grow. A particular focus was placed on our Year 12 students, as we gathered to honour their journey, acknowledge their contributions, and wish them every success in the exciting paths that lie ahead. It was a heartfelt farewell filled with pride, gratitude, and encouragement as they prepare to take their next steps beyond our college. See all the special moments from the Term 4 Assembly here and from the Year 12 Liturgy here.
YEAR 12 FINAL DAYS
Prior to our Year 12 VCE students beginning their exam period, these students celebrated their final school days in class and style. On Monday 20 October the students celebrated ‘Futures Day’, where students dressed in line with their proposed future pathways. It was nice to see a number of students who may join us as teachers one day dressing up as some of our staff members.
On the day, the students and a number of staff enjoyed watching Roofman at the local Wallis cinemas.
Celebration Day was held on Tuesday 21 October. The Year 12 cohort had a fun-filled and memorable final day of celebrations to mark the end of their high school journey. The day began with a delicious breakfast at the college before everyone watched a preview of the Year 12 video that will be shown to Year 12 students and families at our Year 12 Graduation Dinner. Students next signed each other’s commemorative t-shirts and enjoyed a relaxed and friendly morning tea with staff. The fun and celebrations continued into the afternoon at ten-pin bowling, filled with plenty of friendly competition, before everyone returned to the college for the colour run. All students wore their commemorative t-shirt signed earlier by all their peers and mentors – with liberal splashes of colour added by the end of the run.
I thank the staff and students that helped make these days possible. We hope the Year 12 cohort will reflect fondly on this time for many years to come.
We wish our Year 12 students all the very best as they prepare for their final exams and take their next steps beyond the college. We are so proud of the young people they have become: resilient, compassionate, and ready to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. As they move into this new phase of their lives, we hope they carry with them the lessons, friendships, and memories they have made throughout their time at our college. May their hard work be rewarded, their dreams be fulfilled, and their futures be filled with purpose, happiness, and success.
