Purpose I Positive Emotions I Relationships I Meaning I Accomplishment
In Term 4, Grade 3 students will be focusing on the “Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships program Topic 5: Stress Management.
The activities we will engage with are:
The aim of this topic is to:
• describe the influence that people, situations and events can have on their emotions
• explore strategies to manage physical, social and emotional change
• describe and apply strategies that can be used in situations that make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe
• explain the value of self-discipline and goal-setting in helping them to learn and to cope with change and challenge
• describe personal strengths and identify coping strategies that they can apply to help them cope with change and challenge.
In addition to learning about stress management, students will engage in activities from the Visible Wellbeing program designed to support the building of good relationships.
In Term 4, we will introduce students to our School Wide Expectations, aimed at developing a consistent understanding of behaviour and responsibility across all year levels.
