Year 6 - Author Visit

On Tuesday 23 April our Year 6 students were lucky enough to have an incursion with author Louise Park.  Louise has written a creative non-fiction about her very own grandfather who was the last man out of Gallipoli.  Her book 'Last Man Out' is a collection of his journals from his time in Gallipoli.   Louise was such an engaging speaker and she commended our students on their respect and thoughtful questions.  She also shared some of her writing, editing and publishing knowledge.  This is such a fascinating book and if you would like to purchase a copy we have a link set up to do so.

The portal will then close on Sunday 5 May and all orders will be sent to the school for distribution. We are working with Louise to organise book plates with her signature that we can pop in these books.

ANZAC Assembly at LPPS

A very special morning tea with some local residents and indeed Veterans from Langwarrin Aged Community Care.  Staff and our student leaders shared some lovely conversations over some delicious handmade morning tea thanks to Jess Moran in our Front Office.  This was our first connection and we look forward to organising future opportunities to connect.
