Year 11 Literature Excursion

On Thursday 14th March, Year 11 Literature students attended the Black & Bright First Nations Writer's Festival at the State Library. Students listened to debut indigenous writers Melanie Saward and Graham Ackhurst read from their novels, and actors performed monologues from some of this country's best indigenous playwrights.  Prolific Indigenous writers Jane Harrison and Kirli Saunders (authors we study at GEC) discussed their creative process, and students participated in script writing and poetry writing workshops with them.
