Reminder Year 10 students Work Experience

Reminder students in Year 11 and Year 12 VCE VM will be undertaking work placement over 2 x 1 week block:

Monday 3rd June – Friday 7th June, 2024

Monday 16th September – Friday 20th September, 2024

 

  • Morrisby Online Assessment was delivered to Year 9 students on Monday, week 5 Term1. 
  • Year 11 and Year 12 students on Tuesday in Home Group of Week 5 and Week 6 Term 1 have used Career Tools to explore their future careers.
  • Year 8 students on Tuesday in Home Group of Week 8 and Week 9 Term 1 have used Career Tools to commence their career journey.

  • A Day in the Life of a Swinburne Student Events 

Students are invited to go along to Swinburne’s Hawthorn Campus and have a guided tour, attend talks, presentations, and hands-on workshops in future study areas of interest – a very worthwhile way to feel prepared for Uni life.  These free events will run from 9.00am – 3.15pm, and the location to meet is Advanced Technologies Centre, Hawthorn Campus

Dual Electrical Qualifications ProgramEarn while you learn!  Combine your A-Grade Electrical Apprenticeship (Certificate III In Electrotechnology – Electrician) and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Information Engineering) (Honours).

As part of a Victorian Government funded project, the Ai Group Centre for Education & Training is partnering with industry, Federation University and NECA Education & Careers to create an electrical dual qualification.  The course combines the A-Grade Electrical Apprenticeship (Certificate III In Electrotechnology – Electrician) and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Information Engineering)(Honours) to produce highly skilled, STEM proficient licensed A Grade Electricians – achieving this combined qualification in a six-year timeframe.  The combination will provide candidates with multiple qualifications and certifications.  Find out more about this program at Dual Electrical Qualification - Federation University Australia.
