TERM 1 REPORT

Term 1 has seen all year levels get an opportunity to represent DSC on the sports field. It has been amazing to see that our participation numbers across all sports continues to rise. A special shout out to our Year 7 Boys A Cricket Team for claiming the Boroondara Division Title a couple of weeks ago. This will mean that the team will now progress to the Eastern Regional Championships in October, which is something a DSC cricket team hasn’t been able to do for the last five years.

A massive thank you to all our amazing staff that have already been involved in the DSC Sports Program this year. Whether they have been umpiring, scoring, coaching or convening, the support they offer the program is the reason that we are able to harness the passion that students have for sport at DSC.

DSC Swimming

Congratulations to all of our swimmers for representing DSC at the recent Division Swimming Carnival. Although we had a small team in comparison to the other schools, all of our students competed to the best of their ability.

A special shout out to Austin Bartlett (Year 10), Nathan Lim (Year 10) and Jarrell Wong (Year 7) for progressing through to the Eastern Regional Swimming Carnival. An extra special shout out to Austin, who then went on to win the Under 16 Boys 50m Freestyle and will be now representing DSC at the State Swimming Championships next term. If that wasn’t enough, Austin has also qualified for the National Swimming Championships which will take place over the holidays. We will ensure to update everyone with Austin’s results in the next DSC Sport Report.
