From the Principal

Being the final newsletter, I would like to congratulate all students on their achievements and growth across this term.

Term 1 is always an exciting time, where it has been focused around establishing new relationships and routines.

I also see that Term 1 is a time where it sets the scene for the remainder of the school year. All our teachers and support staff have the highest expectations on behaviour and learning. Wrapped around these expectations is the support that is received from our parents and carers. I would like to thank all parents and carers for the support you have provided towards your child and their teachers. I encourage all parents and carers to prioritise the ongoing building of positive relationships with your child's teacher next term. The quality of the relationship does have a big impact on your child's learning and connectedness to our school.

In the last week of term, we have a number of things happening around the school:

Grade 3-6 House Athletics

Our Grade 3-6 students will be heading to Ballam Park on Wednesday for their House Athletics Day. This is a great way to finish the term and it is always well supported by our parent community.

I would like to thank Mrs Burt and Mrs Peluso for the organisation and delivery of this school event.

Foundation Easter Bonnet Parade

At Langwarrin Park Primary we have a tradition of having an Easter Bonnet Parade. This is always a lovely morning, and parents do a great job working with their kids to create their bonnets.

PFC Easter Money Trail

I would like to thank the PFC for organising a number of fundraising events this term. At the moment we have the PFC Easter Trail going on. I look forward to finding out what the total amount raised for this event.

All PFC fundraising events will go towards re-surfacing of our basketballs next to the oval.

School Finishing Time on Last Day of Term 1

Please be aware that the last day of Term 1 is on Thursday 28th March at 2.30pm.

Inclusive Schools Grant Project

You may remember that early last year the then State Education Minister visited our school to announce a $170000 inclusive school grant. With this grant, we will be creating an Inclusive garden space up on the Jackson Dve boundary next to the hockey courts. The starting date for this project will be the 29th April. It is envisaged that this project will take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete.

This will be a fantastic addition to our school grounds and will be a lovely space for students and teachers to use.
