After a very enjoyable Long Service Leave holiday, I have returned to another busy term. My apology for this being the first Physical Education Newsletter report.
DISTRICT AND DIVISIONAL SWIMMING
On Thursday 29th February, 18 students from Years 4 – 6, had a very early start to the day and participated in the Murdoch District Swimming Trials at the Pines Pool. For some of these students it was their first time competing in a 50 metre outdoor pool. All students were great ambassadors for our school, giving 100% effort and demonstrating excellent sportsmanship at all times.

HOUSE ATHLETICS - BALLAM PARK
The House Athletics Carnival will be held this Wednesday.
Just a few pointers and suggestions to assist parents with student preparation:
Parent Helpers are a valuable asset to the smooth running of activities. Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to help; it is much appreciated. Information will be sent home with your child.
JUNIOR SCHOOL TWILIGHT SPORTS AND YEAR 6 WATER SAFETY
Unfortunately, the unpredictable and ever changing Melbourne weather has not been kind and therefore these events were cancelled. We are currently working out a suitable date for the Twilight Sports.
Year 6 Water Safety was severely affected by the poor water conditions. If possible, we will run a beach Carnival day in Term 4 and hopefully another water based activity.
Thank you for your support and understanding with the cancellation of these events.
