Scholastic Book Club Issue 3 out now!
Book Club has arrived! Look out for your copy of Book Club that came home in your child's schoolbag this week! It's packed with hundreds of books from just $3 to help you on your child's reading journey.
Everyone who orders from the Book Club will earn a $5 promotional credit to spend on Issue 4. If you still have an existing $5 credit, you can spend it on this issue as well before it expires.
You can also find a this year's National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) book Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker in Issue 3. This year's NSS event is coming up on May 22 at 12pm AEST. It's an important annual campaign encouraging young children to read and enjoy books as well as teach them the value of literacy. NSS is now celebrating its 24th year, coming off the back of the most successful year yet in 2023 where over 2.3 million participants read at over 59,000 locations!

The Furphy Literary Award
This year's literary awards will include an open short story award, youth short story award, junior short story award, youth poetry award and junior poetry award. More information on the award categories, how to enter and more can be found via the link below.
We’d like to extend an invitation to you and your family (especially young people) to join us for a come-and-try fishing day to be held on the 20th of April, from 1pm-5pm at the new Arcadia Hatchery.
This is a free and family friendly event that encourages people new to fishing support, including sharing how-to techniques. There will be a guest speaker, workshop marquees and information about native fish to the area.
Come and have a great time for all the family! Equipment available for use on the day or BYO!

St Anne's College is excited for another year of the 'Scuola Italiana Club' - externally provided Italian classes for both children and adults within our local community.

Fundraise with the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme
St Anne’s College is officially approved as a donation partner for Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) which means you can assist the college to fund exciting projects to not only benefit students but the local community as well!
Outdoor exercise stations have been on top of the College’s wish list to complement a future walking track around the oval and your generous and green donations could help turn this popular idea into a reality.

How about a tub of local, delicious honey?
Year 11 student Logan Kempinski is an avid beekeeper with about 100 beehives housing about 60,000 bees in each hive. So that's 6,000,000 bees which are located across five local properties around Murchison.
The bees are collecting pollen and nectar from Australian native Greybox trees. Logan sells the honey which he packages into 500gm and 1kg tubs as well as 500gm squeezey bottles.
