Mini Minors and String Orchestra

The Mini Minors, the ensemble for members of the Year 3 Strings Program, will commence in Week 1 of Term 2 on Tuesday 16 April at 8:00am in the Osborne Room. Students should bring their instruments and books to meet Mr Pitt and Ms Partridge for this fun and first rehearsal for the year! Please note that, from Tuesday 16 April, String Orchestra will commence at 7:15am.

Chamber Orchestra

Please note that Chamber Orchestra resumes for Term 2 in Week 1 on Wednesday 17 April at 7:00am in the Osborne Room.

Treble Choir

Please note that Treble Choir resumes for Term 2 in Week 1 on Wednesday 17 April at 3:15pm in the Performing Arts Centre (please note the new rehearsal venue for Term 2).

Primary Singers

Please note that Primary Singers resumes for Term 2 in Week 1, on Thursday 18 April at 8:00am in the Osborne Room.

Chapel Choir

Please note that Chapel Choir resumes for Term 2 in Week 1 on Friday 19 April at 7:30am in the Chapel.

Music Performance Uniforms

A reminder that Music Performance Uniforms require black socks and a plain black singlet/t-shirt, as well as plain black dress trousers (please note that jeans are not permitted on-stage or in photos). Jackets are purchased through the Uniform Shop. Please contact the Music Department with any queries.

Oxford and Cambridge Singing School

Following the success of last year’s course, the Perth Choral Institute and Oxford and Cambridge Singing School are providing young singers in Perth with the opportunity to enjoy music-making and improve their choral skills. Held from Wednesday 10 to Saturday 13 April at Aquinas College, students are guided through high-level choral repertoire, music theory, history and appreciation, and performance. The course includes Junior and Secondary groups and is open to students aged 7 to 17. Students may attend a single day or the full course.

Catholic Performing Arts Festival

Entries into this year’s Catholic Performing Arts Festival open on Tuesday, 12 March, and are open to all students who learn an instrument/voice through the College or with external tutors. Students learning through the College will have their applications to perform managed through the Music Office, while those learning externally can submit and return an online application.
