Year 7 Music

Over the past few weeks, the Year 7 students have made significant progress with their new instruments. Our Year 7s are learning trumpet, flute, clarinet, percussion, trombone and/or saxophone. Initially, many were unfamiliar with their new allocated instruments, but through sheer dedication and practice, they've quickly gained confidence and skill.
They’ve developed better hand-eye coordination, improved rhythm, and are now more comfortable reading music. Their teamwork has also grown stronger, as they collaborate effectively during group exercises. Looking ahead, the students are excited to showcase their progress in the upcoming Year 7 Strawbale Concert (details out soon!).
With their growing abilities, they will be ready to perform confidently and demonstrate how much they've learned in a short amount of time. We know that their hard work and enthusiasm will surely shine through during the performance! In the meantime, we know that many parents and families will be thrilled to hear their students rehearsing at home!
