Your Support Needed

We are interested in hearing if you have a passion for any aspects of Gardening, the environment and  sustainability.

This year we are hoping to develop a team of people from within the St Mary's wider community to assist with our Garden development.

We would be grateful, if interested, you fill in the below form to indicate where your interests are and how you may be able to support our school.

Please feel free to pass this survey onto any family members who you think may also like to be involved.

Please note, a working with children check will be required for any volunteers who may assist in 2025.

If you are unable to assist within the garden, we are always appreciative of any donations that may support this project.

Some of the things that would benefit our garden development:

Gardening gloves for students

Adult gardening gloves

  • Gardening stakes for climbing vegetables.
  • Advice on helping our vegetables grow
  • Bags of potting mix for the church planter boxes
  • Compost bin and advice to start this up with our students
  • Small greenhouse to grow seeds
  • A new gardening hose and watering gun
  • Support in getting our watering system going again
  • Gardening shears

The impact of your donations would mean so much to not only the students at our school but our entire community. Our Imagination Garden is making a big impact in our school community, with more students and families becoming involved. We need your help to continue this enthusiasm and momentum. When the students are engaged and excited, they are proud of what they are creating and they want to bring their families in to see the garden flourish.

Garden Club

Garden Club has started well on Wednesdays with our enthusiastic students engaged in planting, lettuces, radishes, flowers and snow peas. This week we finished planting one garden bed and lay some pea straw down to help with watering.

We've had some birds snacking on our new plants already so we put up some reflective tape to sway in the wind to deter them.

We are looking forward to filling all our garden beds this year and have lots of lovely fresh produce to share with our community.

Many thanks,

The Environmental Team
