WELLBEING AND INCLUSION

Welcome Back to a Fantastic Start to 2025!
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal for Wellbeing and Inclusion at KSC. It has been wonderful to see students settling in so well, and the eagerness of staff to support all our students.
At KSC, student wellbeing is a key priority, and we have a dedicated team in place to provide support. If there is anything we can do to assist your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of our wellbeing team members.
Meet Our Wellbeing Team:

- Melinda Hams – Wellbeing Coordinator
- Anna Close-Mewett – School Nurse
- Elicia – Headspace (EMHSS)

Wellbeing Support at KSC
Headspace
We are fortunate to have increased involvement from Headspace this year. Tom and Elicia will be available on Thursdays every week and Fridays on a fortnightly basis. Their expertise and support are valuable resources for our students.
School Nurse
Our school nurse, Anna, provides support in areas such as hygiene, social and peer relationships, and emotional regulation. She is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and is always happy to assist students.
Wellbeing Coordinator
As the Wellbeing Coordinator, Mindy acts as the glue for our team in connecting with supports for our students. She also contributes to our Inclusion Team, ensuring that wellbeing and learning support services work together effectively. Mindy’s office is located in the STAR Room.
Sub-School Wellbeing Support
For many students, their Sub-School Leaders are the first point of contact for wellbeing support. Chris (Middle Years) and Nicole (Senior School) lead our year-level teams and
work closely with students. If you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing, they are a great first point of contact.
Have Your Say
In the coming weeks, we will be seeking student feedback on how we can best support them. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, I encourage you to get in touch.
In our next newsletter I will introduce our Inclusion team which has been doing some awesome work supporting the learning of many of our students.
