GHOST MOTH

LABYRINTHINE GHOST MOTH AT KSC

Another amazing creature found in the KSC grounds by our Maintenance Manager.

A Labyrinthine Ghost Moth (Abantiades labyrinthicus)

It is endemic to Australia and wingspan is about 100 mm for males and 160 mm for females. The forewings are brown with two silver flashes. It is the peak time of year to see these large moths.

We are lucky to have such wonderful surroundings to house our College. Keep an eye out for these monster moths around your place!
