Principal's Message

Hello to our MPHPS Community.

I hope you have all settled into a wonderful 2025 and are ready to enjoy another fabulous year.

I am writing to inform you that I am taking some unexpected personal leave prior to my knee replacement surgery in March. While this is not the start to the year I had hoped, I know that the Leadership Team and staff will continue with their brilliant work in leading and managing the school.

Mel Lloyd will officially become Acting Principal as of today with high level support from Kate Stimpson, Assistant Principal, Nat Becker & Ebony Ritchie, Learning Specialists and Nat Kennan, Business Manager. I thank you all in advance for considering this team and for appreciating the many roles they will manage along with their own responsibilities.

I look forward to returning a little later this year after my healing and recovery.

All the best

Chris Beare.

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we settle into the new school year, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the fantastic start we have had and share some important updates with you.

A Warm Welcome to Our Foundation Students

A huge congratulations to our 59 Foundation students and their families on a wonderfully smooth start to the year! It has been fabulous to see their enthusiasm and confidence as they explore their new learning environment. A big thank you also goes to our Foundation teachers, whose dedication and preparation have ensured such a positive beginning. We look forward to celebrating the many achievements of our youngest learners throughout the year.

SunSmart Reminders

As we continue through these warm months, we remind all families that students are required to wear their hats when outside. This is an essential part of our SunSmart policy to keep everyone protected. Additionally, students are welcome to apply their own sunscreen at 10:43 am if they feel they need extra protection. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these habits at home.

Specialist Programs in Full Swing

Last week, our specialist programs commenced, offering students enriching learning experiences in The Arts, Physical Education, SciTech, and Auslan. We are incredibly grateful to our specialist teachers for their dedication in creating engaging and dynamic programs that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. It has been wonderful to see students fully immersed in these activities, and we look forward to sharing their achievements as the term progresses.

Staying Safe on our School Roads

Now that we have all returned to school, we ask everyone to take extra care on the roads. Please follow the recommended speed signs, ensure that you are pulling safely up to the curb and children are entering and exiting from the footpath side of the car. Please ensure that everyone is safely in seatbelts and child safe seats.

Stay Safe everyone!

Welcoming Our 2025 School Council Members

We are pleased to introduce our newly appointed 2025 School Council members: Peter, Sally-Ann, Karen, Jo, and Annette. We appreciate their commitment to supporting the growth and development of our school community. We also welcome back staff representatives Carolyn and Laura, whose contributions continue to be invaluable. Thank you all for your dedication to ensuring our school remains a thriving and supportive environment for students, staff, and families.

Sending Best Wishes to Ms. Beare

Many of you may be aware that Ms. Beare has been quite unwell. We send her our warmest wishes for a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming her back when she is feeling better.

As always, we thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. It is shaping up to be a fantastic year ahead, and we look forward to sharing many more exciting updates with you.
